On the mac, the Yoics application must be active for the remote features to work - so it's likely that they will have knowledge that something is on.

The PC version allows for stealth operation.

What I'm trying to do is access my isight camera remotely in order to control cheating on exams so I can't allow the students sitting in front of my machines to know that they're being watched - or they just won't cheat - will there be a give away or will it be blind to the person on the other end?

Al

Please try the 'pre-release' version. We've seen this issue on some machines and the new version addresses it.

Sounds like Apache isn't starting. Can you go to File>Connection details and send the information to support [at] yoics [dot] com.

I have a problem with accessing files. I can only access certain types of files. I can access most images remotely; I can only access office 97-2003 type files; I CANNOT access office 2007 files (docx, etc). Is there a way to access these files? Currently, when I try to dll these files, they come to my comp in Zip files. This is frustrating.

I am having trouble downloading the software (both versions) to my Windows 7. I have tried Vista and XP compatability installs and I recieve errors each time. The most common error states: "The specified path '%APPDATA%' is unavailable
Any help would be appreciated.
