As a privacy protection measure, many Yoics features are password protected.   The default value that we use is “password” and is fairly straightforward to change.

Drobo File Explorer

If you want to enable File upload capability, you’ll need to enter a password.  To change the password, just select ’set password.’  The default value is “password”

1. Select “Set Password”
2. Enter old password (default is “password”)
3. Enter in your new password
4. Select “set”

My WebCam

If you want to delete motion detected events, you’ll need to enter a password.   The default password is “password.”  There is currently no way to change the default password.

Remote VNC access

If you have version 2.6.086 or later of Yoics for Windows, it features UltraVNC as the remote desktop server.  When you access that desktop remotely, it will ask for a password.  The default password is “password”

To change the password, look in the system tray for the WinVNC icon, right-click with your mouse and select, Admin properties.

From there you can enter in a new password.

Note:  it may take several minutes for the password to update.
