I am having trouble downloading the software (both versions) to my Windows 7. I have tried Vista and XP compatability installs and I recieve errors each time. The most common error states: "The specified path '%APPDATA%' is unavailable
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, in general, the Google Androids will work very similar to the iPhone. There are some limitations, depending what you are trying to view over Yoics. The Yoics enabled IP cameras are viewable but may require slight tweaks or firmware upgrades. If you run into problems, send us a detailed message to support at yoics dot com. If you have a specific IP camera you are asking about, let us know which one.

You can simply login to http://yoics.com and click on your web-cam. No IP addresses necessary.

Depending on the camera, there are two ways to use yoics with your IP camera. If it is a camera that supports Yoics directly, you can download the latest version of firmware and use that to connect via Yoics.

If the camera does not support Yoics directly, you can use the Yoics NOW proxy to access your camera (the computer running Yoics will need to stay on).

I have a webcam running on laptop A and can see video on laptop A. Installed YOICS on laptop A and configured for webcam. YOICS screen shows "online" and My Web Cam location as "host". I have a 192.xxx IP address for the laptop A and a 68.XXX public IP address and a port selected for my router. I can't find an instruction to determine what URL to use to connect to the live feed. How do I access the live feed using another laptop? I've tried both IP addresses including the port and neither is found. Hlep please...

james, glad that Yoics is working out for you. Web-cams need to be left on. If you'd like to not have to keep your PC on, you can get a Yoics enabled IP cam.
