Yawcam configuration

Yawcam , Yet Another Web Cam, is a nice program that is available for free download . Using the Yoics NOW! proxy built into the desktop, you can configure it for remote Internet viewing, without the need to configure your router for port forwarding.

Configure Yawcam for streaming

Open the Yoics NOW! configuration menu

Add a configuration for YawCam

  1. Give it a name, e.g. YawCam
  2. Select HTTP, since you will be viewing YawCam via a browser.
  3. Port 8081 is the default port for YawCam’s streaming data. If you configured YawCam to use a different port, enter that here.
  4. Select "Add."
  5. Select "OK."

To Internet access your web-cam, either load the Yoics desktop onto the remote machine & double click on YawCam, or login to yoics.com and do the same.

    I want to use it as a nanny cam and needs this software to be hidden from my desktop. Is it possible?

    yes, the yoics software can run in the background – so won’t display on the screen.
